Amsbry Bridge (Bridge #14), Cambria County
Francis J. Palo, Inc. was awarded a contract with the Cambria County Commissioners on December 29, 1999, to replace the bridge where T-487 crosses Clearfield Creek in Gallitzin Twp., Cambria County. The project consisted of removal of the orginal single span reinforced concrete slab bridge and abutments, and construction of a new single span non-composit prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge (55.0 foot span) with concrete abutments and wing walls, as well as construction of 2,600 feet of bituminous approach roadway. The project started on May 1, 2000 and was finished on November 13, 2000.
